Service and Outreach
PADS
Due to Archdiocese of Chicago COVID-19 restrictions, the PADS program has been temporarily suspended from our location.
IJP has opened its doors to provide food and shelter to area homeless. “Guests” are hosted at our Parish Hall and are provided a hot dinner, clean bedding, breakfast and a sack lunch for the following day. Volunteers are needed.
Please contact Rich Pozdol, PADS site manager, at (708) 481-1319. or pozdolr@hotmail.com.
Pastoral Care
This ministry serves the sick of our parish—spiritually, sacramentally, and emotionally—by visiting and bringing Communion to the homebound, to residents of nursing homes and to the hospitalized. In addition, this ministry assists in helping families prepare for the funeral liturgy at the death of a loved one and supports those who are grieving.
Annually, a special All Souls Day Mass is celebrated in memory of all the deceased.
If you or a family member or friend in need of the assistance of the Pastoral Care Ministry, please contact the parish office at 708-799-5400.
Respect Life
This ministry fosters building a culture of life in America. The ministry involves prayer, pastoral care, advocacy and education and sponsors various activities to support life in all its forms – from birth to death. Each of us is called to support initiatives that protect life.

Respond Now
IJP Parish assists Respond Now, which serves those stricken with the highest levels of poverty and unemployment and provides immediate relief. The boxes for donations for food and personal items are located in each entryway of the Church.
St. Vincent de Paul
For over twenty years, this ministry has been the outreach of our parish to those in need. Many times individuals of families have emergency needs or fall through the cracks of various social agencies and organizations. Our St. Vincent DePaul Society is there to help them.
